I recieved a wonderful e-mail today from a minstry called “Above Rubies”.
I hope it blesses you as much as it did me!
Dear Amy, Always wearing a smile,
May God’s blessings be poured out upon you today as you train and nurture your children, Brendan and Ryan.
Isn’t it wonderful that this is a new day? Isn’t God so good to give us a fresh new day every morning? Yesterday is gone. Maybe everything went wrong. Forget it. God erases and forgets everything that we confess to Him. Once it is under the blood of Jesus, it is forgotten. Today is a new day. It is a new day to put your trust in the Lord and look to Him rather than all the things that overwhelm you.
It is a new day for you to train and nurture your children for the destiny that God has planned for them. Don’t focus on all you have to accomplish. Instead, keep your eyes upon the Lord. He is your Sufficiency. He is your Strength. He is your Rock. He is the God who is Enough.
He is the One who has given you this mighty task of training your children for His glory. Because He has given you this mandate, He will help you carry it out. You don’t have to do it on your own. He wants to work with you if you will let Him.
God has promised us in Psalm 55:22 that if we release the weight of our burden on to the Lord that He will take it and He will sustain us. Isn’t that a wonderful promise? So don’t keep carrying the entire burden yourself. Cast it upon the Lord.
Yes, I will admit that God has given you a big undertaking in motherhood. In fact, it is such an important assignment that it takes every effort of your being – physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It is the greatest calling in the nation. You are training God’s task force. You are training the generation that could usher in the coming of the Lord. It’s a huge task, but you have a powerful God behind you. With God you can do things that are bigger than you. God told the children of Israel to go into the Promised Land and drive out the nations that were “greater and mightier” than them. He gave them a job that was bigger than them, but He knew that they could do it, because He was with them. Dear mother, do you feel that this job of motherhood is too much for you?
Remember that with God you can do things that are
bigger and mightier than you!
Deuteronomy 4:38; 9:1; 11:23; John 15:5; Philippians 4:13
Keep up the great work. You have the greatest career in the country. The destiny of this nation will be affected by the polished and sharpened “arrows” that will come out of your home!
May God’s richest blessings be poured upon you and your husband. May your heart be lifted up to behold the beauty of the Lord rather than the negatives that are all around you; may your confidence be in the cleansing and protecting power of the blood of Jesus; and may you be constantly brimming over with gratefulness and thanks to the Lord for all His mercies and goodness.
Never give up! Remember, “The hope that you have in our Lord Jesus Christ means SHEER DOGGED ENDURANCE in the life that you live before God.” (1 Thessalonians 1:3, J.B. Phillips).
Have a wonderful day as you mother your precious children.
