We are halfway through our study of the USA! Today has been a little bittersweet. There have been a lot of programs and specials on T.V. since the 10 year anniversary of Sprtember 11th is in two days. It is a privilege to teach my kids about how blessed we are to be Americans!
Today was a fun day! Todays’ character trait was “strength”. We copied the definition out of Hero Tales – “strength is the power God gives you to finish a job, even when you feel weak.” I told the kids about how we as a family have stepped out in faith to home school and how we are relying on God to give us the strength and wisdom that we need. We covered our vocabulary words, reviewed the states we are learning, finished our workboxes, and then headed out for our first field trip! It has rained so much over the past few days that I had to think of an “indoor” trip. I decided on lunch at McDonalds and bowling…you can’t get much more American than that :)! We had so much fun!!! Enjoy the pictures!
