Spontaneous Field Trip!

After a busy morning, the kids and I were scheduled to take a nature walk.  I didn’t feel like walking around the block again, so I decided to take the boys to Three Lakes Park for something different.  The park has a great nature center that includes many different species of animals that are common in Virginia.  We saw snakes, turtles, birds, insects, and all kinds of fish.  We took a “hike” and looked at the different types of trees/leaves and then the kids were ready to head to the playground for P.E. :)!!!  I am so thankful that my kids have time “to be kids”…time to run, play, laugh, explore, and enjoy the beautiful world that God has given us!  It’s so neat to see Brendan and Ryan become closer and have fun making memories together.  Thank you God for a beautiful, cool autumn day!

Verse of the Day:  And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds:  livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind.”  And it was so.  God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds.  And God saw that it was good.  Genisis 1:24-25
