Pajama Day!

We had another fun day in Kenya and stayed in our P.J.’s until after lunch :)!   Ryan read our Bible passage today (Brendan’s turn was yesterday), reviewed our Bible verse, had prayer time, and read Chapter 4 in David Livingstone.  For science, we learned about grasslands from Properties of Ecosystems.  The boys had to fill in worksheets describing the distinguishing features, animals, plants, locations, etc.  Did you know that there are over 11,000 different types of grass?  That’s crazy!  In art, we learned about how Africans have made masks and crafts from wood for thousands of years.  Burning pictures into the wood is also popular.  We got to use our woodburning craft set today and although fun,  it was more time-consuming than I thought it would be!  I helped the boys finish burning their pictures while they worked on their workboxes.  The plaques looked great after being painted with watercolors!

Verse of the Day:   “They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”  Luke 24:32

    Love you all so much!
