Sun, Sand, and …Wind?

Brendan had an orthodontist appointment this morning (he’s getting braces on Tuesday) and the temperatures were in the low 70’s, so I decided that it would be a great day to have”school at the park”.  What I didn’t count on were the wind gusts :)!  We realized quickly that we’d have to just complete our schoolwork after we got home so we enjoyed some time on the playground, ate a picnic lunch, fed a cute little squirrel, and went through the nature center.

Once home, we practiced praying using the ACTS method.  A is for adoration, C is for confession, T is for thanksgiving, and S is for supplicationBrendan and Ryan colored a stained-glass picture of the Lord’s Prayer while I read from Amy Carmichael.  We then watched a video about quick sand and got to make our own for an experiment – FUN!  The boys also covered spelling, math, language arts, and the rest of their workbox assigments.  What a beautiful day!

Verse of the Day:  The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.John 3:8
