The boys were “thrilled” to find out that even though public school was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy, we were still having school – LOL 🙂 ! I let them relax until after lunch and used the morning to finish up laundry, do a little cleaning, and gather all of our flashlights just in case. During Bible, we read about how Potiphar’s wife lied to get Joseph in trouble. We had a good discussion about how God had a bigger plan for Joseph, even though it seemed like bad things happenend to him when he tried to do the right thing. We reviewed the commandments, the OT books, and the twelve tribes of Israel. Brendan and Ryan completed a small activity to help them understand electoral votes. We learned about what our lives might have been like if we lived during the time of ancient Egypt…interesting! For art, the boys got to draw whatever they wanted and both of them drew a picture of the hurricane. Hopefully, we will still have power and I can post again tomorrow. Everybody stay safe tonight!
I am SOOOOO Thankful for our
SHELTER FROM THE STORM!!!!
For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.
