Bring On the Rain:

We started week 30 this morning and are  getting closer to the end of the year 🙂 !!!  Our Greek for the Week is demos which means “the people, the citizens”.  We learned how Athens was one of the first civilizations to practice a form of democracy and the boys also learned about work and school in Ancient Greece.  We started two new read alouds – Aesop’s Fables and Archimedes and the Door of Science.  Our copy of Aesop’s Fables came with a CD which is nice because sometimes my voice just needs a break!  Our two families that we’ll be praying for this week are the Vaughn’s and the O’Keeffe’s.  Our tadpoles are getting bigger and stronger every day – it won’t be long now until we have little frogs hopping around!

We had a fantastic weekend!  Justin and Brendan went camping (a special father/son trip) and enjoyed hiking, fishing, kayaking, and learning about how to become a man of God.  I’m so blessed to have such an amazing husband and father for my boys!  While they were gone, Ryan and I enjoyed a few outings and a fun trip to Kings Dominion with my parents.  The weather was perfect!!!  Today, I’m thankful for the rain that helps everything grow and washes away the pollen 🙂 !

As a HEAV blogger, I want to send out “shout out” to a fellow blogger who is giving away a FREE REGISTRATION to the 30th Annual HEAV Convention!  Check out Heather’s blog at to enter the contest!

  1. So glad Brendan and Justin had a great camping trip! Justin, thank you for being a wonderful godly role model for Brendan and Ryan! You are a terrific Dad! And, they are fine young men! But of course they are! They are my sweet grandsons! 🙂

Pappy and I had lots of fun with Amy and Ryan while at King’s Dominion!

    Love you all,
