My cousin and her husband are expecting their first baby in March, so for our monthly Sunday School girl’s night out, we decided to have a baby shower. It’s always fun celebrating a new little one! We had a great time visiting, sharing labor and baby stories, playing games, and eating. We can’t wait to meet little Macon Clark!!!
As I type this post, I can’t help but remember those who are struggling with infertility. Did you know that 6.7 million women in the US have impaired ability to get pregnant or carry a baby to term? And it doesn’t just affect women…there are also millions of men who’d give anything to be called “daddy.” My supervisor (who I also consider to be a friend :)) is one of those 6.7 million. Her and her husband, Paul have wanted to become parents for over 6 years. Click on their picture to learn more about their story:
Did you know that there’s a way that you can help? A way to show your support? A way to show that you care?
The Race to Parenthood 5k is a fundraising platform for those who wish to start a family, but require fertility treatments or adoption to do so. Many couples require additional financial assistance to pay for IVF, IUI, adoption, or surrogacy – our organization seeks to provide a way to help those who cannot afford to fund their path to parenthood. The race will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014. Click below to find out how you can support couples trying to grow their families…and I’d love it if you’d choose Team Yellow 😉 !!!
