The Best Adventure!

I was looking back through some of my old posts this afternoon and came across this one from 4 years ago. It’s so much fun to look back at how much the boys have grown and how homeschooling truly has been “The Best Adventure” for our family!

Homegrown Hatfields

This morning we read about the death of Moses and how Joshua was given the huge responsibilty of leading the Israelites into the promised land.  Over and over again, God tells Joshua to be strong and courageous.  He says, “do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go”  (Joshua 1:9).

I was reading from The Message last night and these verses jumped out at me:  “This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses.  Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him.  For the Lord is your life…”  Wow!  When we give our lives to Christ, he gives us the gift of…

  1. I agree – This month, we begin our tenth year homeschooling. I find that I’m often so wrapped up on *now* that it’s easy to forget the immense progress all of my children have made. And it is so fun to look back on the things we were doing years ago.

  2. Wonderful thoughts. We aren’t always strong and then we get discouraged. But, Christ is our life and sustains us. Thanks 🙂
