About

Hello!  My husband and I have been married for 18 amazing years.  We have been blessed with two sweet boys, Brendan (age 15) and Ryan (age 13).  I LOVE being a wife, mother, and homemaker and truly believe that it is God’s calling for my life…my ministry is my home and family!  After much prayer, research, and encouragement from friends and family we decided to home school two years ago. It was one of the best decisions we’ve ever made!  Our lives are not perfect, we have bad days, and sometimes even the teacher feels like throwing in the towel 🙂 , but with God’s help, we press on toward the goal of the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.   Thank you for visiting our blog – we look forward to seeing what God has in store for us this year :)!

  1. Amy, God has guided you and Justin in his decision to home school! Everything you have done has been a success and blessing from God! I understand, but don’t believe you should be scared. God has blessed you with many talents, he is now guiding you to teach Ryan and Brendan.
What a blessing to be able to teach the boys. Yours and their rewards will come by God’s Grace.
This chapter in your lives will be just as amazing as the past 14 years. Provebs 31:10-22, 25-27 comes to mind; you are an amazing Godly woman. Praise the Lord. Love you dad.

  2. Hi there! I actually found your blog via the message board on MFW. I really enjoyed reading through your posts. My two boys are the ages that yours were last year, and we are working through the ECC curriculum too (it’s our first year). I really appreciate seeing what what your kids did last year, as well as this year. It is encouraging for me to actually see what someone else has done and what it really looks like. And it looks just like what we have done all school year, which serves as my “atta-girl.” I am already looking forward to next year.

Keep up the great work. God has a purpose for your life and you have been blessed with that knowledge, as well as putting it into action. Long story short, you are a faithful woman. God bless.

  3. I totally echo your sentiments — ‘My ministry is my home and family’ !!

  4. I am so delighted that I stumbled upon your blog. I am pleased to see that you have a son my daughter’s age and looks so content with being homeschooled. As of now our daughter is in 8th grade and attending a virtual school due to her chronic illness. However, there is a missing link and I am trying to supplement her education with concrete learning experiences. So I am so happy to be following you and your family’s journey. I look forward to following, have a great day! Allie
